It gives me immense pleasure to launch the official website of the Cooch Behar District police; The Cooch Behar district is spread over a geographical area of more than 3300 sq. kms, and it has a long international border of about 549 kms with Bangladesh and about 80 kms border with the neighboring state of Assam, which makes policing in Cooch Behar district quite challenging. On 29/04/2024, Dinhata Police arrested 1 person from Rajakhora of Petla region and recovered 01 firearm and 01 round of live ammunition. During the Police custody again 01 firearm and 01 round of live ammunition was recovered from his possession
